We believe we have a special calling to teach Christ’s love to our children and youth. Our young people are not the future of our church – they are here now! We believe that God has a special love for the youngest among us, and calls us to treasure, care for and teach them.
Walk deeper into your faith as the Fall Season begins at the Church of the Nativity Sept. 9, with the kickoff of Education and Formation programs for all ages. Read on to learn about our many offerings:
FALL 2007-SPRING 2008
Nursery Care Ages 0 – 3 9:45 a.m. to noon
Young Children Preschool – 3rd grade 9:45 to 10:35 a.m.
Older Children 4th – 6th grades 9:45 to 10:35 a.m.
Nursery Care: Our Nursery Director, Lani Brown, and a professional caregiver provide loving and safe activities for our youngest children, including stories, music and fun.
Godly Play: Julie Cordwell and Carolyn Bohannan lead our young children (preschool through grade 3) in this experiential exploration of the stories and traditions of our faith.
Seasons of the Spirit: Jennifer Norrid and Kris Peters help our older children (grades 4-6) explore meaning and mystery in the Bible; celebrate in worship, education and service; engage in ministries of love, justice and witness; and live in inclusive communities of faith, shaped and led by the Holy Spirit.
